A Word From Our Associational Missionary:
Matthew 9:36 “But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.”

What if we could have public school students studying the Word of God and praying during the school day?  Would you be for that?  I know we all would!  I would like for you to be in prayer about the opportunity that we have as an association of churches to help start a great ministry (Christian Learning Centers) that would enable us to bring the gospel and the Word of God to the schools in our area.

It is all through release time education.  In 1952 the Supreme Court ruled that it was legal for students to leave the public school and receive Christian training, as long as: no government funds are used for the program, the course is taken voluntarily with parental approval, classes are free to the students and the class is held off the school campus.  These classes are held during school hours and signed up by the student as an elective class.

The need is great:
92% of children receive no Bible instruction form a parent.
70% of children are not part of a local church.
50% of children have NEVER attended church.
50% of children have NEVER held a Bible.
9 out of 10 children suffer from depression.

Would you join with me in prayer as we seek the Lord’s wisdom and guidance in starting this much needed ministry?  The need has never been greater and the time to act is now!

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about this ministry or would like more information.

Thanks, Bro. Mike
