A Word From Our Associational Missionary:
I recently saw an article that said, “the culture of outreach in churches seems to have vanished”.
Saturday morning, I was at Franklins Springs Baptist Church where Steve Foster led a group of six churches from our association through, “No Sweat Evangelism”.  The training was great, informative, and very practical.  But as I went through the training, I could not help but think about how evangelism is rarely mentioned in some churches and is sometimes completely omitted.
The apostle Paul was VERY concerned about evangelism and reaching the lost.
II Corinthians 5:20 “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.”
Acts 20:31 “Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.”
Romans 9 where Paul wrote under inspiration of the Holy Spirit, “For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh...”
This is just a glimpse of Paul’s love that others would come to Christ.  If we had this kind of love and passion, then the little things that sometimes divide us would appear meaningless compared to bringing people to Jesus.
May the Lord give us a passion, a fire, and a desire to bring people to Him!  Who can you talk to today about Jesus?
