Tugalo Endowment Fund

 Endowment Funds-To-Date: $5,048.64

 LEAVING A LEGACY OF LIFE

PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Tugalo Endowment Fund is to raise, receive, and manage endowment funds to be used to provide ongoing Acts 1:8 support for ministries within the Tugalo Baptist Association and throughout the world.

WHY IS IT NEEDED?:
Over the next 50 years, studies show that approximately $41 trillion will exchange hands as one generation dies and passes its property to the next generation. The question is: will we as Southern Baptist take the opportunity to "Leave a Legacy" of God's work in our lives or will we allow someone else to make that decision for us? The gifts you make today to the annual budget of your church helps us serve others now. The gift you give through planned giving in your will or trust, helps us serve others in the future.

SKILLED MANAGEMENT:
Decisions for the Endowment Fund will be made by the Planned Giving Ministry Committee in cooperation with the Stewardship or Finance Committee of the Tugalo Baptist Association.

When money is not used, it is managed by the Georgia Baptist Foundation. The Georgia Baptist Foundation was established in 1941 for gathering and managing Southern Baptist Endowment Funds for organizations like the Tugalo Endowment Fund.

Day-to-day management of the Georgia Baptist Foundation is entrusted to a professional executive staff. Both the foundation's staff and the trustees work closely with outside professional consultants.

The Georgia Baptist Foundation pools our money with its other funds to obtain the best returns for its investments. The Georgia Baptist Foundation has over $300 million in assets under management.

HOW CAN I MAKE A DIFFERENCE?:
You can make a difference by giving through the endowment fund. The endowment fund serves as a conduit for the ministry of Jesus Christ. There are various ways to give:
  • Cash Contribution - By pledging a monthly gift, you can be a part of this endeavor. Or you can make a one time gift to the endowment fund.
  • Christian Wills - A Christian Will gives you the opportunity to perpetuate your Christian influence through gifts to teh endowment fund and your church.
  • Charitiable Gifts - Endowment funds can be created through the sale of donated properties, cash gifts, securities, or other items of value which can be turned in to cash.
  • Living Trusts - A legal instrument to transfer property is transferred by its owner(s) to a trustee to be managed and administered for the owner(s) and/or beneficiaries according to instructions.
